Our Soccer7sSeries format involves 15-minute games played on a full-size pitch, meaning we have four games played every hour. We’re really excited to show fans in Singapore what the Soccer7sSeries is all about. “We have some exciting names including ex-Premier League winners and Champions League competitors and already lots of great teams confirmed from Europe, South America and Asia-Pacific with even more to announce.” The Soccer7sSeries will combine football’s elite heritage – with the Masters including Borussia Dortmund – with its exciting future, as young players and rising stars from U21 and academy teams in the Men’s Open competition look to catch the eye. Meanwhile Brazilian powerhouse Corinthians will be sending three teams, to play in Men’s Open, Women’s and Masters competitions. Players competing include Premier League winners Wes Morgan and Robert Huth. Former Singapore national team Captain Shahril Ishak, also competing in the Masters Tournament, added: “We're excited to have the world’s best Sevens talent coming to celebrate our nation's anniversary with us. I can't wait to take to the field and compete against such high calibre opponents.” The Men’s Open will feature 16 teams competing for three trophies – the Cup, the Shield and the Plate – while 10 teams will face-off in both the Women’s competition and the Masters (over 35s) competition.
