Formed in 2019, Singapore Football Club (SFC) – the COSMO League champions in 2023/24 – enter the Soccer7sSeries with an exciting blend of youth and experience as well as experience of competing in the seven-a-side game. The hosts will be managed by Abbas Saad, the former Australia international who has a strong connection with Singapore having spent time in the country during his playing days and coaching career. Saad has also managed both the SFC Men’s Open and Masters teams at the Hong Kong Soccer Sevens. Among the players to look out for will be former Singapore internationals Shahfiq Ghani and Gabriel Quak. Captain Joe Claridge, meanwhile, offers a calming presence and an eye for a pass in midfield.
